The Pacific Crest Trail will always have a special place in my heart. It’s a 2,650-foot, continuous path that cuts through some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain the Western US has to offer. In our increasingly modern world, the fact that the PCT even exists is absolutely astonishing.
The amount of time, energy, and money that it takes to maintain a resource like the PCT is staggering. That’s why it’s so important to have organizations like the Pacific Crest Trail Association to help protect and promote our most cherished trails.
One of my core beliefs is that people are more willing to protect natural areas once they get out and experience their beauty. That’s one of my key motivators with CleverHiker and one of the reasons I’m so excited to partner with the PCTA on the Essential Trail Skills video series.
CleverHiker and the PCTA are teaming up to help teach critical backpacking skills and inspire responsible backcountry travel. I’ve offered the PCTA a charity sponsorship on the Essential Trail Skills video series (coming soon) and we’re linking up to promote our mutually beneficial goals.
My hope is to spread awareness for the PCTA and to encourage others to support their work. The PCTA would like to promote responsible backcountry travel and inspire outdoor enthusiasts to pitch in and protect our wild areas. Click here to learn more about the PCTA and become a member today.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to be partnering with an organization like the PCTA and I know that together we can do great things!
