Those looking for an affordable and efficient 10,000 mAh power bank that packs a punch will appreciate the INIU Megapower. We used a multimeter and dummy resistor load to draw power consistently and drain each power bank. We used this information to find out which power banks had the highest charging capacity per ounce, and the INIU came in a respectable fourth place overall, which was our second-best 10,000 mAh option. This efficiency ranking means that users will get more charge for the weight they carry in their pack.
Weight & Packability
This power bank is about average in weight compared to others we tested. What you get for those extra grams are features such as multiple ports and a flashlight at an affordable price. We placed the Megapower on our scale and found it came in at seven ounces, aligning with the manufacturer’s stated weight. This weight is right in the middle of the group compared to other 10,000 mAh power banks and is much lighter than any larger-capacity option. While it is not as light as some other power banks we have tested, there is frequently a trade-off between weight and features in outdoor gear, and the INIU Megapower is no exception.

That means the Megapower fits in most pockets and fanny packs. Of course, it could be a tighter squeeze than the top tier 10,000 mAH power banks on the market if it’s sharing a pocket with another device. Regardless, the INIU Megapower ranked fourth in our tests and third among 10,000 mAh power banks, making it a solid choice for those needing to juice up their electronics while on an adventure.
Durability
The INIU Megapower 10000 power bank showed excellent durability with some cosmetic damage over time. When we dropped the Megapower from a height of eight feet onto loosely packed dirt as part of our durability tests, it demonstrated that it could hold up. We plugged in some electronics afterward, and it charged them without any problems.
In addition to dropping it, we carried it around in a loose bag full of other power banks for several weeks and packed it on our backcountry excursions. The Megapower has yet to show any signs of compromised performance. However, we did notice plenty of scratches covering the power bank’s surface. The INIU’s outer layer is made of a material that scratches easily. Using the provided sleeve can reduce the number of scratches for those willing to accept the slight increase in weight.
Charging Speed
One of the things we love the most about the INIU Megapower 10000 is how quickly it recharges. While testing our lineup of the best power banks, we drained each bank, plugged them in, and waited to see how long it would take to recharge again. To keep things fair, we used the same QC 3.0 wall charger and USB-C cord for every power bank. With recharge times ranging from two and a half to almost seven hours, the INIU recharged within a respectable three hours and seventeen minutes. This performance secured one of the top spots in this metric, making it a great choice when trying to save time in town resupplying or getting ready for the next adventure.

The INIU Megapower 10000 shines in terms of features. For starters, it has some common ones like pass-through charging and multiple charging ports. Pass-through charging allows the bank to charge while simultaneously charging another device. The INIU is also able to charge up to three devices from two USB-A and one USB-C port at the same time. We appreciate that the analog charge display, shaped like a paw print, is straightforward to read due to its large size.
A unique feature is the Megapower’s built-in safety that keeps it from ruining a phone battery due to overheating or delivering too much power. It can also autoregulate how much power to supply to devices, so no trickle charge button is needed. Finally, a built-in flashlight can be used by double pressing the side button. The flashlight is a nice failsafe for emergencies, but we found it a bit annoying as the flashlight is often turned on accidentally when the battery pack is jostled in a bag or at night.
Cold Charging
The Megapower sits in the middle of the pack here with a 6% loss of power in cold temperatures. This efficiency loss isn’t optimal for anyone looking to spend time outdoors in colder temperatures. Some strategies can be used to minimize power loss due to low temperatures including keeping it warm in a sleeping bag or close to the body. That said, it performed better than most of our other favorite 10,000 mAh power banks, providing a wider variety of options for those looking to purchase a bank in the 10000 mAh capacity range.
